The stage success of Dolittle, and my collaboration with the creative head of Jim Henson Creature Shop, John Stephenson, led us on to thoughts of two more animal-related projects - a doggy musical, appropriately entitled "It's a Dogs Life" and fresh thoughts about one of my favourite-ever projects, Noah's Ark, a frustratingly complex, but wonderful concept for a musical that has haunted me all my adult life. Both projects are now written and awaiting production. Whether the show will end up on stage or the screen, or John and I will in up in a musical lunatic asylum, remains to be determined. The never-ending struggle continues.
