The Good Old Bad Old Days!
This simple little saga about Man, Life, Death, God, and the Devil, with the History of the World thrown in (nothing pretentious!) The Good Old Bad Old Days produced several very good songs, one of which, "The Good Things in Life", is my favourite of all the songs Anthony Newley and I ever wrote - more than "What Kind of Fool Am I?", "Who Can I Turn To?", and the rest of them. It was recorded by, among others, Tony Bennett, Petula Clark, Sammy Davis, Jr., and the title song for almost 30 years - by the legendary George Burns.
