All shows should be as easy as Stop the World. Tony Newley and I, still both in our twenties, wrote the whole thing start to finish in slightly less than three weeks. The score took 8 days and we never changed a word or a note of it. It almost wrote itself. I still have the piece of paper with "Once In A Lifetime" on one side of it, and "What Kind of Fool Am I" on the other - both written on the same afternoon.
